Step back in time with a horse drawn sleigh ride through the woods of historic Cross Village. This timeless tradition is presented in collaboration with Highland Roots Farm.

This season we have two options for reservations. You may reserve individual seats on certain rides or reserve the entire sleigh/wagon. The cost of the ride is $15 a person or $175 for the entire sleigh/wagon, which holds up to 12 people. Payment must be made when scheduling your reservation. Venmo is our suggested method of payment. We also accept checks and cash if you book your reservation at the farm. The fee is non-refundable. In the event of no snow, there will be horse drawn wagon rides, sleigh bells and carols still included! Reservations are every half hour. The sleigh ride is approximately 20 minutes and is followed by pictures and candy canes with the horses. Please note, if the trails are icy or conditions are too dangerous for the horses, rides will be cancelled. In this situation, a makeup date will be scheduled, or money will be refunded.

~Bows can be chosen upon wreath pick up. We have a variety of choices.

Black Barn Farm now offers a variety of handmade wreaths, garland, and swags as well as with fresh local Christmas trees.

Christmas Trees

Our Christmas trees are provided by Stempky Nursery in Cheboygan and Louis A. Hoffman Nursery in Harbor Springs. We will have Balsam and Frasier firs and a few spruce.

Head up to Cross Village to choose your family Christmas Tree. We are open Friday 3-6 and Saturdays 10-6, or by appointment. Please call 231-526-2486 to schedule an appointment outside of normal business hours.
